The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children unveiled a new age-progressed image of Christopher Abeyta alongside the Colorado Springs Police Department on Friday at CrimeCon in Denver.
The image shows what Christopher may look like today at 39 years old, according to a release from the center. On July 15, 1986, he was abducted from his crib in his family’s home at 7 months old.
According to previous reporting by The Gazette, by 2018, four men had come forward claiming to be Christopher, but none were credible. Three additional men were determined not to be Christopher in 2019 through DNA tests.
The disappearance regenerated attention in 2020 after being featured on an episode of Netflix’s “Unsolved Mysteries” titled “Stolen Kids,” according to previous reporting.
Anyone with information about Christopher’s disappearance or whereabouts can contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000.
The image was unveiled at CrimeCon at the Garylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver, which is a three-day event featuring investigative techniques, case updates and content creators.
