Suspect in Cañon City officer-involved shooting arrested, ID’d
The suspect involved in a police shooting with a Fremont County sheriff’s deputy in late August has been arrested and identified after being released from the hospital.
Ethan Pollington, 27, was hospitalized on Aug. 29 after a deputy went to a Cañon City home for a welfare check around 6 p.m. following a series of “repeated 911 hang-up calls” made by a relative inside the home, according to a Thursday news release by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. The relative informed the deputy that Pollington was drunk and had a gun.
