Shelter-in-place order lifted for area southeast of Colorado Springs Airport
A quarter mile around the 3800 block of Chia Drive was briefly under a shelter-in-place order by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, according to a notice by the office on Peak Alerts.
Just before 3:30 p.m., residents were advised to stay away from doors and windows for law enforcement activity in the area.
Less than an hour later, the Sheriff’s Office sent a follow-up alert to those in the area notifying residents that the shelter-in-place was lifted.
