Colorado Springs apartment building left with ‘heavy’ damage from vehicle crash

The corner of a Colorado Springs apartment building suffered “heavy” damage after a vehicle drove into it Tuesday morning.
Crews from the Colorado Springs Fire Department arrived at the building, near Airport Road and Ruskin Drive, at around 7 a.m. and found an abandoned vehicle with visible damages to its front on the road by the vacant apartment building, according to a social media post by the department.
The Fire Department is assessing the building’s stability as of 9 a.m. No injuries were reported.
The Colorado Springs Police Department has taken over an investigation into the crash.
