Colorado Springs police pursued a carjacking suspect Sunday until the vehicle drove against the flow of traffic on Interstate 25, according to an online police blotter entry.
Police responded at 9:15 a.m. to a reported carjacking and kidnapping in the 1200 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue. Officers quickly found the vehicle in the area, the blotter entry states, but the driver fled.
Officers began pursuing the vehicle, but canceled the pursuit when the vehicle started driving in the wrong-direction on I-25. Police later found the vehicle in the Stratmoor Hills area, the blotter entry states. Two suspects fled on foot before police arrived.
The victim was located and he denied being kidnapped, according to the blotter post.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and the blotter indicates that no arrests have been made.
