Pikes Pick: Colorado Springs’ new king of pizza? The deep dish rocks
Since quietly opening in March, Colorado Springs’ new king of pizza has sat upon a humble, hidden throne at 2810 E. Fountain Blvd. It’s called Rock’s 24, for the rock ‘n’ roll theme and the U.S. 24 bridge overhead.
Along with Chicago-style deep dish, Rock’s 24 specializes in the city’s beloved tavern-style. Located at 2810 E. Fountain Blvd. Gazette photo
Take it from this Chicago transplant: The pizza rocks. It’s deep dish done right, and crispy tavern style done even better. Hours: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, according to its Facebook page. — Seth Boster
