The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of the fatal motorcycle crash Aug. 12, according to a news release Monday from Colorado Springs police.

Randy DiBuono, 41, died in a crash with a vehicle at the intersection of North Union Boulevard and Garmish Road on the north side of the city. Police said excessive speed was a factor while the investigation continues. 

DiBuono’s death was the 36th traffic fatality in 2025. At the same time last year, 37 traffic deaths had been reported. 

On Aug. 9, a crash at the same Union-Garmish intersection claimed the life of 20-year-old Spencer Lehmkuhl. Police said Lehmkuhl’s motorcycle struck a sport utility vehicle.
