Authorities identified a man killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday in northeast Colorado Springs as 20-year-old Spencer Lehmkuhl.
City police said Lehmkuhl’s motorcycle struck a sport utility vehicle just after 6 p.m. at Garmish Road and North Union Boulevard.
Lehmkuhl was pronounced dead at the scene, and police said speed was likely a factor in the crash.
Colorado Springs has had 35 traffic deaths this year, police said. Thirty-seven people died in traffic crashes in the city at this point in 2024.
