The Manitou Springs Fire Department assisted the Crystal Park Volunteer Fire Department in containing a small wildfire on Sunday, according to a news release.

At about 12:30 p.m., MSFD and El Paso County crews responded to reports of a plume of smoke in the Crystal Park Wildfire Protection District, a largely wooded area adjacent to Manitou Springs. Firefighters quickly contained the fire, which was about 10 feet by 20 feet in size, officials said.

Responders are currently in cleanup mode, according to the release. No injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Anyone with information related to the fire is asked to call El Paso County dispatch at 719-685-1444.
