Man arrested following Friday night stabbing near Cimmaron Hills

A man has been arrested by El Paso County Sheriff’s detectives for allegedly stabbing someone Friday night. 

At approximately 8:45 p.m. on Friday, the sheriff’s office received a report of a stabbing in a parking lot at 6400 Omaha Boulevard. Deputies and on-call investigators responded and began an investigation where a victim was identified. The person was treated by first responders at the scene and subsequently transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses identified 31-year-old Adrian Espinoza as the assailant, and detectives established probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant.

Espinoza was taken into custody without incident and booked into the El Paso County Jail on Saturday on charges of assault in the first degree and aggravated retaliation against a witness or victim. His bond is set at $25,000.
