On Wednesday, a Colorado Springs woman was arrested for allegedly impersonating a police officer in an attempt to burglarize homes in the 1400 block of Bowser Drive.

Shortly after 1 a.m., Adrianna Wallmueller, 36, was arrested, apparently before entering any residences. While in custody she assaulted a police officer, the Colorado Springs Police Department said. The officer sustained minor injuries.

Wallmueller faces felony charges of impersonating a police officer and second-degree assault of a peace officer.
