Colorado Avalanche selling team-used equipment at Ball Arena on Saturday
Colorado Avalanche fans can buy a piece of last season on Saturday at Ball Arena for the first-ever sale of team-used, professional-grade hockey equipment, donated by the Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Eagles.
The three-time Stanley Cup winners (Avalanche) and four-time minor league championship winners (Eagles) will have thousands of items to buy including sticks, gloves, pads, skates, pucks and more.
“For fans and collectors, the sale is a chance to grab a stick or helmet from a favorite player,” the team said in a statement. “For amateur hockey players, it’s a chance to save hundreds of dollars on top-of-the-line and even customized professional gear.”
Admission to the sale is free but requires a ticket.
When: Saturday, June 21, from 3-5 p.m.
Where: Ball Arena, 1000 Chopper Circle, Denver. Admission and parking are free.
Why: All proceeds will go to Kroenke Sports Charities, which serves the community through education, health and fitness initiatives, athletic programs, and direct aid, with the particular purpose of helping families, children, veterans, and the disabled.
