The list of Colorado’s most popular baby names was released this month for 2024 and there was very little change at the top compared to the previous year.

The lists, released annually since 1960 by the Social Security Administration, are based on the actual names listed on Social Security card applications for new births.

Most popular boy names 2024

On the boys’ side, Liam took the top slot for the second year in a row with a total of 423 babies born in the state last year.

Oliver was the second most popular boy’s name in Colorado for the second year in a row with 367. Noah finished third with 341.

Most popular girl names 2024

Over on the girls’ side, after finishing second last year, Olivia ascended back to the top slot with 277 babies, overtaking Charlotte who had topped the list in 2023. Olivia has been the top girls name in four of the last five years in Colorado.

Charlotte finished second in Colorado in 2024 with 262 babies. Emma was third with 229.

Colorado followed the national trend in 2024, with Liam and Olivia both taking the top spot nationwide.
