Authorities identified the man who died Sunday when he was hit by a train as Peter Blin, 60.

Police found Blin dead under the train at about 11:45 a.m. near East Mill Street and South Nevada Avenue. Officers say the train was heading north when a pedestrian appeared to step into its path.

Police say Blin may have intentionally stepped in front of the train.

Southbound traffic on Royer Street at East Last Vegas Street was affected for several hours as investigators collected evidence from the scene.
