People deserve the joy of a remarkable moment.
That’s the motto of Something New Boutique in Colorado Springs.
The bridal and formalwear boutique welcomed members of the special needs community Wednesday, giving them the opportunity to choose a free, formal gown for the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine Ball.

The Night to Shine Ball, an annual event that occurs globally, is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older. Hosted at local churches, people gather for the VIP experience of a red carpet, dancing and karaoke to celebrate what makes them unique.
Community ties play a key role in why Something New has hosted the free dress event for two years in a row now.
Owner Mindi Linscombe worked with the Colorado Springs community to have over 100 dresses donated for the event.

Women who attended were able to peruse and try on multiple dresses until they found ‘the one’.
“My favorite part of this shopping day is when they look in the mirror and feel like the best version of themselves,” says general manager Sophia Burgo. “You can see the emotion come from inside and the confidence come out.”
The Night to Shine Ball is held in over 700 cities globally, with the main event happening on the same night worldwide. This year, the event will be held on Friday Feb. 7.
The event will be held across three churches in the Colorado Springs area: Pikes Peak Christian Church, Core Community and Zeal Church.
