A child was hit by a driver Wednesday morning in a crosswalk at Research and Grand Cordera parkways on the city’s north side.

Police say the child was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and the driver was ticketed.

Officers responded to the call at 8 a.m. and described the crash as “low speed.” They say they are investigating the cause.
