Air Academy winter sport athletes are coming home starting Wednesday night.

Following a Jan. 4 temporary adjustment to access the installation, Air Academy on Tuesday evening announced via a press release that prep home contests could resume.

“We are pleased to share that after a temporary pause in hosting athletics and other events at Air Academy High School, we will begin welcoming guests back to select events starting Wednesday, Jan. 22,” the release read. “We are excited to resume these opportunities for our students, families, and fans while continuing to prioritize security and safety in collaboration with the U.S. Air Force Academy.”

Those interested in attending games must complete an online pre-registration form 24 hours before accessing the base. Forms will be available on Air Academy High School’s web page.

Students with valid student IDs and those with Defense Biometric Identification System cards (DBIDs) or military ID do not need to complete the form. Those required to complete the form includes:

– Guests over 18 without a valid student ID or DBIDs card

– Air Academy and visiting coaches without DBIDs cards

– Visiting fans, athletes’ families without DBIDs cards

– Officials without DBIDs cards

USAFA will provide a pass upon completion of the form. The Pass & Registration Office can assist anyone who did not receive an approval message or faces other struggles acquiring a pass.

The office is open daily from 7:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
