Lake George 4H group hosts Paint Party

paint party

The Lucky Clovers 4-H Club in Lake George is presenting a Hot Cocoa and Paint Party on Feb. 1 at the Lake George Community Center. Two sessions are available; noon and 5 p.m.

It’s a great opportunity to release or charge up your artistic talents. All materials needed will be supplied and you can take your masterpiece home. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned painter, this family-friendly event is an ideal way to brush off the humdrums of winter, socialize with fellow art enthusiasts and let your talents flow.

Annelise McCue will be leading the classes. She has been immersed in art her entire life but found her passion for painting in her 20s. A self-taught artist, she enjoys the hands-on process of creating and exploring new ideas through her work. Three years ago, Annelise and her family moved to Park County to pursue the homestead lifestyle and embrace a slower pace of living. By day, she works as a hairstylist, but her love for painting has led her to host paint-and-sip events throughout the area and she is currently working on her first gallery collection.

Reservations are needed to reserve your spot. Two classes are available and each is limited to 20 spots. Cost for the class is $30.00 plus a processing fee and includes entry to the event, all painting supplies, one drink, and one snack. Additional snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Comfortable, paint-friendly clothing is recommended.

To register, call or text 719-838-1057 or online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lucky-clovers-4-h-hot-cocoa-and-paint-party-tickets-1118279507109?aff=oddtdtcreator.

Lake George Community Center is located at 39141 Hwy 24, Lake George. All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the Lucky Clovers 4-H program, helping fund educational activities, supplies, and opportunities for local youth.
