Improv troupe coming to Cripple Creek
Fans of the popular TV show “Who’s Line is it Anyway” will want to be in Cripple Creek on Jan. 25.
The RiP, an improv comedy troupe, returns to the historic Butte Theater for a night of unscripted hilarity. Using only the suggestions from the audience, The RiP presents a night of short-form, long-form and musical improvisational comedy.
“The RiP has been performing improv since 2005, creating unscripted laughs for almost two full decades,” a press release said. “They founded the Colorado Improv Festival which brought incredible acts in from all over the world, and have been featured in several comedy festivals across the country including the Denver Improv Festival, the Omaha Improv Festival, the Downtown Vegas Improv Festival, the West Coast Musical Improv Festival, and the Boston Comedy Arts Festival. They have also performed in Philadelphia, New York City, Toronto, and Kansas City.”
This show will showcase short-form improv style scenes and games which will rely on answers from the audience when prompted from questions, the press release said.
The members of the RiP featured in this performance are Kaleb Kohart, Margarita Archilla-Kohart, and Jordan Arrick, all original founding members of The RiP.
