Nearly 2,000 customers lose power after vehicle crashes into electric equipment in north Colorado Springs
Nearly 2,000 customers near Woodmen Road and North Academy Boulevard were left without power after a vehicle struck electric equipment Thursday morning.
Colorado Springs Utilities sent crews to the area and resolved the outage in under an hour. As of 11:15 a.m., all impacted customers could once again turn on their lights and heaters.
During power outages, officials remind drivers to treat any dark intersections as 4-way-stops and exercise caution on the roads.
