One rescued, five displaced in Colorado Springs house fire
One person was rescued and five were displaced in a house fire Sunday in the southeast part of the city, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Crews responded to the second-floor blaze on the 1600 block of Kodiak Drive after receiving reports of smoke and fire shortly after 10:30 p.m.
Two cats died in the blaze, the Fire Department said. Monday morning the residents were seen gathering belongings from their house.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Department.
