The Colorado Springs Fire Department put out a structure fire Friday afternoon in the southwest area of the city.

Firefighters responded to 944 London Green Way, off Westmeadow Drive, after reports of smoke came in.

When crews got to the scene, they reported the smoke coming from the windows on the first floor.

By 4:50 p.m., the department said the fire had been knocked down and crews were still on scene searching for hot spots.

No injuries were reported.
