Suspect arrested in Colorado Springs vape store burglaries, auto theft
A 19-year-old was arrested on New Year’s Eve in connection with a pattern of vape store burglaries.
Ryan Vigil was apprehended after investigators learned information about his whereabouts and did surveillance on his home in the 5000 block of El Camino Drive. After he left the home and walked to a stolen vehicle in a nearby parking lot he was contacted by officers. He fled but was caught by a police dog and apprehended.
Vigil was taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant for alleged offenses including burglary, theft and criminal mischief. He also was booked on new charges, including motor vehicle theft, resisting arrest and obstruction. Last month, Vigil also was arrested for a separate auto theft.
