Woman crashes after allegedly stealing vehicle: Colorado Springs police
A woman involved in a family disturbance was arrested after crashing a vehicle that she’d allegedly stolen Friday, according to Colorado Springs police.
Ariana Fresquez, 23, is being held at the El Paso County jail and is facing motor vehicle theft-related charges, police said in an online blotter entry.
At about 5 a.m., police responded to the family disturbance in the 5100 block of Airport Road, near Powers Boulevard.
Fresquez and her boyfriend left the residence after the disturbance. Officers located Fresquez, who then stole and crashed a vehicle in the same area, police said. She was arrested and taken to an area hospital for medical clearance after fighting with responding officers, they said. She was then taken into custody.
Fresquez’s boyfriend, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, was not found.
