Colorado Springs police are investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash that left two motorists injured on the city’s east side early Sunday.

Officers responded to a 9:40 a.m. call about a collision in the 6900 block of Peterson Road, south of Dublin Boulevard, police said. Two injured people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not released.

Peterson Road was closed between Lyndhurst and Cold Springs drives for several hours while investigators collected evidence from the crash scene. Neither driver is suspected of impairment, officials said.
