Multiple agencies respond to crash in eastern Colorado Springs, road closures
Multiple fire departments responded to a multi-vehicle collision with trapped parties near Powers Boulevard and Platte Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Both the Colorado Springs and Cimarron Hills Fire Departments confirmed through social media they have crews on the scene.
The departments say one individual has been freed from the wreckage and has been transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
Another person with serious injuries is also being transported. Two others were evaluated for injuries on scene.
The off ramp on southbound Powers to Platte is currently closed.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department reported shortly after they had crews responding to another traffic crash in the northern part of the city, near the intersection of Corporate Drive and Interstate 25. This crash also had trapped parties.

One person from the second crash was freed with minor injuries. They have been transported to local hospital, according to the department.
Travelers are encouraged to avoid the area of Corporate Drive and I-25 to allow space for emergency personnel at this time.
