Woman found in the road after hit by vehicle, Colorado Springs police seek witnesses
Colorado Springs police are seeking information on a motorist suspected of hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene Sunday.
Officers responded to a 5:30 p.m. call about a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in the 200 block of Bonfoy Avenue, near North Union Boulevard and East Bijou Street. When they arrived, they found an injured, but conscious, female lying in the road, officials said.
The woman, whose name was not released, told police that she had been hit by a car.
As of Sunday evening, no witnesses had come forward and police had no information on the involved vehicle.
