The holiday season is a time of giving, and these three organizations are giving a free Thanksgiving meal to those in need.
Starting Wednesday, residents around the Pikes Peak region can visit the locations listed below for a free lunchtime feast.
Here’s where to get a Thanksgiving meal this year:
The Salvation Army, various locations
This Thanksgiving Day, the Salvation Army will serve 2,500 free meals at four locations across the Pikes Peak region. The Thanksgiving feasts will be open to the public and there will be limited meal delivery available for non-ambulatory residents. To arrange delivery call (719) 884-1052.
When: Thursday, Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: The Salvation Army Corps at 908 Yuma St.; Manitou Springs City Hall at 606 Manitou Ave. in Manitou Springs; Fountain Valley Senior Center at 5745 Southmoor Dr. in Fountain; Woodland Park Nazarene Church at 900 Evergreen Heights Drive in Woodland Park
Thanksgiving closures around the Colorado Springs area
Springs Rescue Mission
The Springs Rescue Mission’s annual Thanksgiving Banquet will be held the day before Thanksgiving to provide a meal to the city’s “most vulnerable neighbors.” The banquet will feature a hot cocoa bar and a pop-up winter wear shop with complimentary coats, hats and more. This event is open to the public.
When: Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Marian House Kitchen
The Marian House will serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal this Thursday to those in need. The meal will be served from 10:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. and is open to the public.
