What to know ahead of Saturday’s Switchbacks championship game: Tailgating, parking, tickets and more

The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will play for their first-ever United Soccer League championship on Saturday.

The Switchbacks ended the regular season as a second seed, their highest finish ever, and scored 52 points. This high seed guaranteed them homefield advantage for the first two games of the playoffs.

This past Saturday, the Switchbacks beat Las Vegas in the conference finals, propelling them into their first championship game. Because they’re a higher seed than their opponent (No. 5 Rhode Island FC), they retain homefield advantage.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks coach James Chambers calls USL Championship Final's start time 'a disgrace'

Here’s what to know ahead of Saturday’s game:

Ticket prices, how to watch and more:

  • Kickoff is at 10 a.m.

  • Tickets start at $121 on SeatGeek and are listed for as much as $350 for club seats, as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.

  • Weather: The National Weather Service forecast shows a mostly sunny day with a high near 56 and light winds. Weather in Colorado can change rapidly, however, so attendees should double-check before leaving and come prepared.
