The Fountain Police Department received a report of a deceased person in area of the 8000 block of Squirrel Creek Road Monday night, according to a news release from the department. 

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:45 p.m., and located the deceased person. Detectives with the department were requested to respond to the scene, according to officials.

The investigations division has taken over the case and the Public Information Officer will release further details when appropriate, according to police. On Tuesday afternoon, the department confirmed in a news release based on the facts known to investigators, the death does not appear to be suspicious. 

Officials said the deceased person will not be identified until the proper notifications have been made.
