One Colorado Springs bear took her two cubs out early for tricks and treats.

Presumably the same trio of bears spotted earlier this month near downtown were back at it again Tuesday night on Corona Street, a couple of blocks from downtown.

A resident heard her trash can fall over at 9:30 p.m. and decided to check her Ring camera footage. And there they were, in all their glory, three happy go lucky bears on the hunt for an evening snack.

The camera caught mama bear being a true parent as she ambled along the sidewalk in the residential neighborhood, looking back at her playful cubs, who came scampering behind her. One sniffed a trash can, decided it held something delicious, pulled it over and sat on its haunches like a little kid with their Halloween bucket full of goodies.

They are likely the same three bears spotted Oct. 14 north of Cascade Avenue and Uintah Street. Holly B., who shared her Ring camera footage with The Gazette, watched them jump her fence into her backyard, then leave and walk south toward Colorado College.

The Gold Hill Division of the Colorado Springs Police Department received calls about the bears that evening but left the matter to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
