Gov. Polis to receive award from Claremont McKenna College
Gov. Jared Polis and Utah Gov. Spencer Cox will be receiving the David Dreier RoundTable Civility Award from California’s Claremont McKenna College for their “Disagree Better” initiative, which promotes civil political discourse and debate. Polis will receive his award on Octo. 25, during which time he will also participate in a discussion with former Congressman David Dreier, R-CA.
Analysis of past three elections ranks Colorado second for voter turnout
An analysis by Strive Messaging of Presidential election data from 2012, 2016, and 2020 found Colorado has the second-highest voter turnout rate in the nation, at 73.4%. Only Minnesota ranked higher, with an average turnout of 77%. Colorado ranked fifth for midterm election voter turnout, with 58.1%.
Governor talks aerospace in Lafayette
On Monday afternoon, Gov. Polis visited the Orbit Fab headquarters in Lafayette to discuss Colorado’s nation-leading aerospace industry. Orbit Fab is a space infrastructure whose goal is to establish “gas stations in space”, allowing spaceships to refuel while in orbit.
