The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the western part of the city and a grass fire near Interstate 25 late Tuesday afternoon. 

At 5:49 p.m., the department posted on X that crews were responding to a fire in an out building at 1641 W. Colorado Ave.

By 6:30 p.m., officials reported the fire was completely out and most crews were clearing the scene. The fire was contained to a detached garage toward the rear of the address. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.

At 5:58 p.m., the department posted about a separate small grass fire near I-25 and Cimarron Street.

That fire is under control, according to officials, and crews will work to mop up hotspots. Travelers are asked to watch for crews working near the highway.
