In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, the Pikes Peak Workforce Center is hosting an opportunity event for local job seekers with disabilities, according to a Monday news release.

The Hiring Abilities Career Fair is scheduled 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Citizens Service Center, located at 1675 Garden of the Gods Road, the release stated. Several prospective employers are scheduled to attend, including Amazon, Colorado Springs Utilities, Goodwill of Colorado, Silverfox Homecare Services and Academy School District 20.

A job coach from the Workforce Center will be on hand to help with job search strategies and recommendations, and sign language interpreters will also be in attendance, officials said.
