Colorado Springs weather: Sunny and warm on Sunday
After a warm week ahead, temperatures could dip into the 30s overnight on Friday
After several days of summerlike temperatures, Colorado Springs residents can expect cooler conditions on Sunday, with afternoon temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
Sunday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 74 degrees and south-southeast winds of 5-10 mph, the weather agency predicts.
Sunday night should be partly cloudy, with a low of 44 degrees and mild winds. Expect temperatures to return to near 80 degrees on Monday for Columbus Day, NWS said.
The warmer weather pattern is expected to continue until Friday night, when temperatures could dip into the 30s Friday night into Saturday morning.
