CSPD investigating early morning arson at east Colorado Springs apartment
Arson is suspected in a fire Wednesday at a Colorado Springs apartment complex, according to police.
Police and fire crews responded to a call shortly before 8 a.m. that someone’s spouse had set items on fire in their apartment unit on the 3800 block of Half Turn Road, near North Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway, according to an online blotter entry.
By the time officers arrived, the fire was extinguished, and no apartment residents were harmed or displaced, police said.
No arrests were announced, but the incident is under investigation as a first-degree arson and domestic violence case.
