Colorado Springs man arrested for alleged assault involving baseball bat, bias motivated crime charges
A Colorado Springs man was booked on several charges, including bias motivated crime, Wednesday after allegedly assaulting another man with a baseball bat.
Just before 2 p.m., officers with the Gold Hill division were dispatched to the 1000 block of south Nevada Avenue for an assault in progress involving a baseball bat.
Upon their arrival, officers learned the suspect had confronted several individuals in the area, yelling taunts and threats based on their race, according to a blotter entry Wednesday evening.
