In-N-Out Burger to open third location Friday on Colorado Springs’ northwest side
Double-Doubles are about to debut on Colorado Springs’ northwest side.
In-N-Out Burger’s third Colorado Springs location will open at 10:30 a.m. Friday at 495 W. Garden of the Gods Road, southwest of Interstate 25 and Garden of the Gods, the California-based burger chain announced Thursday in a news release.
The newest In-N-Out will have indoor seating for 84 diners, a covered patio with 28 additional seats and a single drive-thru lane, the release said. It will employ 80 people, whose starting wages will be $19.50 an hour. The restaurant will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays; it will remain open until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
In-N-Out — popular for its signature Double-Double hamburgers, animal-style fries and shakes made with real ice cream — expanded to the state in November 2020 and opened its first location anywhere in Colorado at that time southwest of InterQuest and Voyager parkways in the Victory Ridge mixed-use development in the Springs.
A year later, In-N-Out opened its second Colorado Springs location east of Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue in the east side First & Main Town Center shopping center.
A third Springs location has been in the works since 2022 when In-N-Out submitted plans to city officials. It’s now been built on the site of a former Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar, which was razed to make way for In-N-Out.
In-N-Out now has 12 locations in Colorado; other restaurants are in Arvada, Aurora, Castle Rock, Denver, Lakewood, Lone Tree, Loveland, Parker and Thornton, the chain’s website shows.
In addition, In-N-Out opened a production and distribution facility in Victory Ridge near its first Colorado Springs location; that facility serves its restaurants in the state.
Founded in 1948 as a single hamburger stand just outside Los Angeles, In-N-Out now has more than 400 locations in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Colorado and Idaho. The family owned chain was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder and remains owned and operated by the Snyder family. All of its restaurants are company owned and none are franchised.
