Two women were hospitalized and one arrested from an attempted burglary Friday morning, according to Colorado Springs police.

At about 9 a.m., police were dispatched to a home on the 2900 block of Del Mar Circle in response to an in-progress burglary.

Heather McDaniel, 33, entered through a bedroom window of the home and attacked a woman , police said in an online blotter entry.

The woman was left with a number of lacerations, and both were taken to nearby hospitals.

McDaniel was taken into custody and faces attempted homicide and burglary charges, police said.
