Overnight road closures scheduled this week near I-25, South Nevada in Colorado Springs
Overnight closures are scheduled this week near Interstate 25 and South Nevada Avenue, part of ongoing work to increase safety for travelers at the interchange.
The I-25 South connector road and southbound South Nevada between Brookside Street and the I-25 ramps will close overnight beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday through 5 a.m. Friday, city officials said in a news release Tuesday.
Crews will remove barrier from southbound South Nevada, and set barriers along the I-25 South connector road.
Friday night, South Tejon Street between East Motor Way and the I-25 South connector road will close overnight beginning at 7 p.m. and will reopen Saturday at 5 a.m. Crews will set barrier along South Tejon, north of East Motor Way.
The city urges travelers to plan for delays and use alternate routes.
Detours will be in place during the closures.
Detours in place on Thursday night:

• Southbound traffic on South Nevada should take the I-25 North connector road to South Tejon Street to Brookside Street to South Nevada Avenue.
• I-25 southbound off-ramp traffic is advised to take South Tejon Street to Brookside Street to South Nevada Avenue.
• South Tejon Street to I-25 southbound on-ramp traffic is advised to take East Las Vegas Street to South Nevada Avenue to I-25 South, or Brookside Street to South Nevada Avenue to I-25 South.
• Northbound South Tejon Street to I-25 southbound on-ramp traffic should detour using Brookside Street to South Nevada Avenue to I-25 South.
• Eastbound traffic on East Motor Way can use South Tejon Street to Brookside Street to South Nevada Avenue.
Detours in place on Friday night:

• Northbound traffic on South Tejon should use Brookside Street to South Nevada Avenue to I-25 North connector road to South Tejon.
• Southbound traffic on South Tejon is advised to take the I-25 South connector road to South Nevada to Brookside Street to South Tejon.
