Another Colorado Springs smoke shop hit in smash-and-grab heist
Suspects used a stolen Kia automobile to smash into a smoke shop storefront near Circle Drive and Galley Road, in order to steal merchandise in the early-morning hours of Monday.
The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed to The Gazette that the call came in at 3:13 a.m. to the shop.
Gazette media partner KOAA reports the store was Speedys Smoke Shop, and that the store owner estimates about $10,000 worth of merchandise was taken.
Colorado Springs police said multiple individuals participated in the crime. No suspect was in custody as of 3:40 p.m. Monday afternoon.
More than 24 smash-and-grab crimes have occurred in Colorado Springs this year, with smoke shops and gun shops being common targets.
