Recently retired Palmer Ridge High School music teacher Raleigh “Butch” Eversole, IV, was awarded the prestigious Colorado Bandmasters Association’s 2024 Hall of Fame Award. This award is given to just one Colorado band director each year.

Eversole retired from Palmer Ridge in 2023 after a storied teaching career.

Eversole is the 49th music educator to receive this award since 1976. The 461-member Colorado Bandmasters Association was asked to vote for this year’s award recipient, and Eversole was inducted into the CBA Hall of Fame at their annual convention membership meeting, which was held in Denver on July 18.

“The Colorado Bandmasters Association would like to congratulate the entire Lewis-Palmer community for receiving such a great honor bestowed upon their wonderful past band director, Raleigh “Butch” Eversole, IV,” the organization said in a press release.
