Go-go gadget | Teller gives back
Inspector Gadget was a cyborg human with various bionic gadgets built into his body. He originated in a cartoon in 1982 and his mission was to thwart plans by his nemesis Dr. Claw. Gadget’s niece was Penny and they had a dog named Brain. Penny and Brain were the true heroes as they worked together behind the scenes to keep the Inspector safe. It is interesting to think back on this cartoon now and hear the show’s theme song in my head. My younger brothers watched it every weekday before going to school. Here’s a link to the theme song if you’d like to take a stroll down memory lane: https://youtu.be/EcF2LOaLgA0
The inspector said the phrase “go-go gadget” OFTEN. It was a trigger for what he wanted to happen. For example, he was in jail one time and there was an elephant outside his window. He said, “go-go gadget lasso” and his tie stretched to become a lasso around the elephant’s neck. Then, he said “go-go gadget elephant” and the elephant pulled the Inspector through the jail’s wall so he was free.
“Go-go gadget” was said so often during the show that I wonder if it was subliminal messaging for all of us who were listening. Have you noticed how many choices we now have in everyday life? Gadgets of every kind are produced in massive quantity. It used to be that a brand meant more because it was tested, tried and true. Now, a brand gets lost because there are too many brands to choose from. The gadgets have taken over and I wonder, did Inspector Gadget have anything to do with that?
This is a test, “Go-go gadget good.” We are good, we share good, and we embrace the good in others. “Go-go gadget help” is when we help where we are most needed so strength is built within those around us. “Go-go gadget inspiration” provides confidence and keeps the go-go moving in a positive direction. The word you put after “go-go gadget” is where your focus lies. It is the mission to be accomplished.
“Go-go gadget parade” was said a few months back as three nonprofits sat around a table. The annual Christmas parade in Woodland Park has a new name, which is Lights Above the Clouds Parade. The new logo represents a mountain town and beautiful Pikes Peak. The theme this year is “Back to the Future – An Enchanting Adventure” and you are encouraged to say, “Go-go gadget float” or “Go-go gadget sponsor”. The marketing efforts for the parade are go-go gadget great. For more information, email Lightatc@gmail.com.
Wishing you go-go gadget SUCCESS in all you do today!
