Colorado Springs motorcyclist who died while attempting stunts identified
The motorcyclist who died while attempting stunts in a north Colorado Springs parking lot on Saturday has been identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.
Charles Velasquez, 31, died in the single-vehicle crash in the parking lot of Floor and Décor, at 6867 Crest Hill View, near Woodmen Road and Interstate 25, according to a news release from Colorado Springs police Wednesday.
Velasquez lost control of his motorcycle while attempting a stunt and hit a concrete retaining wall before ending up in a residential back yard around 10 p.m. Saturday, according to a preliminary investigation by police. He was found dead at the scene by first responders.
