I-25 crash leaves 1 dead; highway reopens after several hours near Colorado Springs
One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash along southbound Interstate 25 overnight Tuesday, just south of Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
According to Sgt. Patrick Rice with CSP, the crash occurred at 1:08 a.m. and involved two semi-trucks and a passenger vehicle.
Rice said one person was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim has been identified as a man from Colorado Springs.

Southbound I-25 remained closed for several hours Tuesday morning between Mesa Ridge Parkway and South Academy Boulevard. The roadway reopened at around 8:30 a.m., Rice said.
