Former Stallions’ standout CJ Jennings takes reins of Sierra boys basketball program, replaces Terry Dunn
Sierra High School’s Facebook page had a succinct message for CJ Jennings:
“Welcome home.”
Jennings will take the reins of the Stallions’ boys basketball program following Terry Dunn’s retirement from coaching in June.
“We are excited to welcome Coach Jennings,” Brian Vecchio, Sierra athletic director, said in a Facebook post. “CJ has a passion for the game of basketball and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Stallions.”
Jennings played for Sierra from 2013-17 during Dunn’s stint as the Stallions coach.
In four seasons on Sierra’s varsity, Jennings averaged 14.3 points per game. Jennings poured in 22 points per contest as a junior and 21 in his senior campaign.
The Stallions finished last season 16-8 and made the postseason.
