Bicyclist seriously injured in crash with vehicle, Colorado Springs police say

A bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in east Colorado Springs on Saturday, according to law enforcement officials.

The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. in the 3300 block of Templeton Gap Road, police said.

Investigators determined that the bike rider failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle heading southwest on Templeton Gap. The bicyclist was hospitalized with injuries that were deemed serious, but not life-threatening, police said. The driver of the vehicle, who sustained minor injuries, was also taken to the hospital.

No arrests were announced in connection with the incident.
