2 injured after small plane lands alongside I-25 near Larkspur
Two people were injured early Sunday after a small plane landed alongside Interstate 25, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Multiple state and local agencies responded after a 7:45 a.m. call came in about an aircraft that had landed near Larkspur, a CSP spokesman said. The airplane, which was found east of the interstate, had two occupants. Both were out of the plane, alive but injured, when responders arrived.
Emergency personnel waded through waist-deep water to get the pilot and passenger to safety, after which they were taken to a local hospital, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Their names were not released.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the crash, officials said.
