Human remains found at Colorado Springs golf course
The Colorado Springs Police Department has found human remains at Patty Jewett Golf Course and are investigating what happened.
A phone call on Tuesday morning about a possible human bone brought police to the golf course. A police spokesperson confirmed to the Gazette that human remains were found.
It is unclear if the death is suspicious. Police say additional testing will be required to determine the identity of the person and possibly a cause of death. According to law enforcement, this testing could take months.
A KOAA reporter on the scene said police investigating the remains seemed to be centered around the creek near the sixth hole.
Patty Jewett, is a 27-hole course that was founded in 1898, making it one of the oldest in the country.
