Guns stolen in Colorado Springs sporting goods store burglary, police say
Colorado Springs police are looking for several people, believed to be juveniles, who allegedly broke into a sporting goods store and stole an unknown number of guns early Tuesday, law enforcement officials said.
The break-in happened at about 2 a.m. at the Sportsman’s Warehouse, located on North Chelton Road, next to The Citadel mall, police said. Investigators determined that someone drove a stolen vehicle into the store and took several items including firearms before fleeing the scene.
No arrests have been made, officials said.
The sporting goods store was open for business at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Sportsman’s Warehouse employees declined a request for comment.
